Karga Island is a beginner-friendly dive site near Bali on Crete's north coast. This small rocky islet just offshore creates a sheltered diving area with easy boat access from the popular resort village. The underwater terrain features gentle slopes of rock and sand with scattered boulders and small reef formations. Abundant Mediterranean marine life thrives here: colorful wrasse, damselfish, and sea bream patrol the reef, while octopus and moray eels inhabit the rocky crevices. The island's lee side provides protection from waves, ensuring comfortable conditions for less experienced divers. Visibility is usually good, and the warm shallow waters make for extended, relaxed diving.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
