Makadi Bay Reef is a beginner-friendly shore dive at Makadi Bay south of Hurghada in Egypt's Red Sea. The wide fringing reef extends from the beach, offering easy access to a thriving coral ecosystem. Healthy coral gardens host a classic Red Sea cast including masked butterflyfish, Picasso triggerfish, and anemones with multiple species of clownfish. The shallow lagoon is perfect for snorkeling and try-dives, while the outer reef edge offers more depth for certified divers. A convenient and reliable dive site for all levels.
