Ras Umm Hesiwa is an advanced dive site near Safaga renowned for its pristine reef walls and exceptional pelagic encounters. The site features a pointed reef promontory that juts into open water, creating upwellings that attract schooling fish and their predators. Massive schools of jacks, tuna, and barracuda are common sights, while the walls showcase some of the healthiest soft coral growth in the region. The deeper sections may reveal hammerhead sharks during the cooler months. Strong currents and exposed conditions demand solid dive experience and proper surface support.
