Marsa Selmi is a beginner-friendly sheltered bay in the Saint Johns region, offering calm waters and a gentle fringing reef perfect for new divers. The bay features a sandy bottom with coral patches hosting juvenile reef fish and garden eels. The reef edge transitions to a healthy wall with soft corals and sponges. Turtles are frequently encountered grazing in the shallows. As a surface interval location between deeper offshore dives, the bay provides relaxing snorkeling and a chance to appreciate the remote beauty of Egypt's southern coast.
