Rocky Island North is an advanced dive at the northern tip of Rocky Island in the deep south Red Sea. The site features a dramatic reef point where currents converge, creating an upwelling effect that attracts massive concentrations of marine life. Hammerhead sharks are the main attraction, with schools sometimes numbering in the dozens during the cooler months. The wall is spectacular with dense soft coral forests and giant gorgonians. Oceanic whitetip sharks cruise the blue water, making this one of the most exciting shark diving experiences in the entire Red Sea.
