Styphano 1 is an advanced dive site in the Saint Johns system, featuring a reef pinnacle with sheer walls dropping into deep blue water. The walls are covered in spectacular soft coral forests with brilliant purple, red, and orange dendronephthya colonies. Large gorgonians extend from the wall into the current, while schools of barracuda and trevallies sweep past. The reef top provides a compact but beautiful coral garden for decompression stops. Strong currents make this a demanding but visually stunning drift dive.
