Ras Fanar

Ras Fanar is an advanced dive at the lighthouse point in the Strait of Gubal, Egypt's Red Sea. The exposed headland catches powerful currents creating thrilling drift diving conditions. The wall is covered in extraordinary soft coral growth, with massive gorgonian fans reaching into the current. Pelagic encounters are the draw here: grey reef sharks, large tuna, and eagle rays are regular visitors. The challenging currents and depth require advanced skills, but Ras Fanar consistently delivers some of the most exciting diving in the Gubal strait.
