Shrimp Cave is a captivating cavern dive site in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote, renowned for its population of narval shrimp that inhabit the dark recesses of the cave system. This beginner-friendly site features a wide cave entrance leading into a spacious chamber where thousands of small shrimp create a mesmerizing spectacle in torchlight. The volcanic rock walls are decorated with sponges and bryozoans, while outside the cave, the reef is home to Atlantic damselfish, trumpetfish, and the occasional angel shark resting on the sandy bottom. The easy access and shallow depths make it a popular choice for night dives.
