Bengtskär is a dive site near Finland's southernmost lighthouse on Bengtskär island in Western Finland, where dramatic granite cliffs continue underwater to create spectacular wall dives. The lighthouse, built in 1906, stands as a sentinel above the waves while below the surface, steep rock faces plunge into the Baltic depths. The nutrient-rich waters at this exposed location support abundant marine life, including large schools of fish, sea trout, and visiting grey seals. Strong currents and wave exposure mean conditions must be carefully assessed before diving. The combination of historical architecture above water and pristine underwater walls makes Bengtskär a truly memorable Finnish dive destination.
