Nigali Passage is an advanced drift dive and one of Fiji's most famous shark dives, located in the Lomaiviti Group off Gau island. The passage channels strong tidal currents through a narrow reef gap, creating a natural amphitheatre where grey reef sharks gather in impressive numbers. At peak times, 20-30 sharks may be visible circling in formation. Divers descend to a sheltered viewing area where they can watch the sharks patrol while barracuda, trevally, and eagle rays join the show. The passage walls are covered in healthy corals fed by the nutrient-rich flow. Advanced certification and drift diving experience are essential for this world-class shark encounter.
