Sunset

Sunset is a beginner-friendly dive site in the Mamanuca Islands, Fiji, popular for late-afternoon dives where divers can experience the reef as it transitions from day to night. As the tropical sun descends, the reef's daytime inhabitants begin settling in while nocturnal creatures emerge — moray eels start hunting, octopus venture from their dens, and Spanish dancer nudibranchs unfurl. The shallow coral reef features healthy hard coral formations with colourful fish life throughout. Calm conditions and warm water make it accessible to all certification levels. The site is especially magical as a twilight dive, watching the underwater world change its cast of characters in the fading golden light.
