Tougues is a deep freshwater dive site on the French shore of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) near Thonon-les-Bains. Reaching depths of around 40 meters, this advanced site features steep underwater slopes descending into the lake's impressive depths. Divers explore rocky ledges, submerged boulders, and fallen trees that create habitats for pike, perch, and burbot. The cold water (4-15°C depending on season and depth) requires appropriate thermal protection, and the depth demands careful planning. Winter months offer the best visibility, sometimes exceeding 15 meters. Tougues provides a unique deep lake diving experience with the spectacular backdrop of the Chablais Alps rising above the opposite shore.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
