Bouley Bay is Jersey's most popular shore dive, located on the island's north coast in a sheltered cove with a gently sloping pebble beach. This beginner-friendly site offers easy access to a varied underwater landscape of rocky reefs, kelp forests, and sandy patches teeming with Channel Islands marine life. Divers frequently spot wrasse, cuttlefish, lobsters, spider crabs, and a variety of nudibranchs in the cold but clear Atlantic waters. The bay's sheltered position protects it from the worst of the Channel's tidal currents, though slack tide timing is still recommended. A local dive center operates from the bay, making it the hub of Jersey's recreational diving scene and an ideal entry point for exploring the island's rich marine environment.
