Moon Hole is a beginner-friendly shallow dive off Utila, Honduras, reaching 12 meters around a distinctive circular opening in the reef. The hole creates a natural skylight effect underwater, with sunbeams penetrating the water column and illuminating the sandy bottom below. The surrounding reef features healthy staghorn and elkhorn coral formations hosting damselfish, wrasse, and juvenile angelfish. Nurse sharks sometimes rest in the shaded areas, and the site's calm conditions and easy access make it a popular choice for training dives and relaxed reef exploration on Utila.
