Francesca da Rimini is an advanced wreck dive in Croatia's Central Adriatic, featuring the remains of an Italian steamship that sank during World War I. The wreck rests on the seabed, its structure now heavily colonized by Mediterranean marine life including gorgonians, sponges, and dense schools of damselfish. Conger eels and moray eels inhabit the wreck's interior spaces, while the surrounding seabed hosts scorpionfish and nudibranchs. This historically significant dive offers a fascinating blend of maritime history and marine ecology in the clear Adriatic waters.
