Punta Japlenicka is an advanced dive site in Croatia's Central Adriatic in the Kornati area, featuring a dramatic underwater promontory that juts out from the island coastline. The point's exposure to open-water currents creates a nutrient-rich environment supporting lush gorgonian growth and impressive sponge colonies. The deeper walls reveal red and yellow gorgonians in dense forests, while groupers and large scorpionfish inhabit the overhangs. Pelagic visitors including dentex and tuna are attracted by the current, making this an exciting advanced dive for experienced Kornati explorers.
