Lighthouse is an advanced dive site in the Andaman Islands, India, located near a coastal lighthouse where a reef wall drops dramatically into deep blue water. The wall is adorned with massive gorgonian fans, barrel sponges, and dense soft coral growth that creates a vertical garden of extraordinary color. Schools of fusiliers, surgeonfish, and batfish patrol the wall face, while Napoleon wrasse and bumphead parrotfish make regular appearances. The deeper sections occasionally reveal reef sharks, eagle rays, and during the right season, manta rays feeding in the current. The wall's exposure to open ocean conditions means currents can be strong and unpredictable, justifying the advanced rating. Night dives at Lighthouse reveal a completely different ecosystem with Spanish dancers, hunting octopuses, and fluorescent corals glowing under UV light. Lighthouse exemplifies the world-class wall diving that makes the Andaman Islands one of India's most spectacular and still-underdiscovered diving destinations.
