Cala Bianca Le due Gerardie is an advanced deep dive off Marettimo island, the wildest and most remote of Sicily's Egadi archipelago. The site descends to 45 meters, where two rare specimens of Gerardia savaglia — a precious Mediterranean golden coral — give this location its name. These ancient colonial organisms can live for thousands of years and are among the Mediterranean's most extraordinary marine treasures. The surrounding reef hosts dense gorgonians, red coral, and impressive fish life. A pilgrimage dive for marine biologists and experienced divers seeking the Mediterranean's rarest underwater wonders.
