Cherimon is a beginner-friendly dive site near Praslin Island in the Seychelles, where a fifteen-meter reef provides accessible diving amid the granite boulder landscapes and coral gardens that characterize the Inner Islands' underwater environment. Praslin, the second-largest island in the Seychelles, offers diving that combines the archipelago's unique geological character with healthy tropical marine communities. The site features the granite formations that define Seychelles underwater scenery, with rounded boulders creating a varied landscape of passages and sheltered spaces. The manageable depth and typically calm conditions make Cherimon suitable for beginning divers while providing enough structural interest to engage experienced visitors. Coral growth between and upon the granite formations adds biological richness to the geological framework. Hard coral diversity is good, with multiple species creating the habitat complexity that supports a varied fish community. The shallow depth ensures excellent natural light that reveals the full color palette of both the coral and the fish. Fish populations include the tropical species typical of the Inner Seychelles. Butterflyfish, angelfish, and various wrasses add color and movement to the granite landscape, while larger species including sweetlips and groupers occupy the more substantial overhangs. Turtle encounters are common, adding a memorable highlight to beginner-level dives. Cherimon provides an excellent introduction to Praslin's underwater world, combining the Seychelles' unique granite scenery with accessible conditions and rewarding marine encounters.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
