Hin Luk Bath is an intermediate dive site near Koh Chang in the eastern Gulf of Thailand, a submerged rock formation reaching twenty-five meters depth that provides one of the deeper and more dynamic reef dives available in the Koh Chang area. The site's open-water position and moderate depth create conditions suited to intermediate divers seeking experiences beyond the shallow nearshore reefs. The rock formation rises from the sandy Gulf bottom to create concentrated habitat that attracts marine life from the surrounding area. Coral growth on the rock includes both hard and soft species, with the deeper sections supporting filter-feeding organisms that thrive in the current-influenced environment. The twenty-five meter depth provides access to deeper reef communities where larger species are more commonly encountered. Fish life at Hin Luk Bath is notably more diverse and abundant than at shallower sites. Schools of barracuda and trevally patrol the formation's edges, while snappers and groupers inhabit the rocky crevices. The nutrient-rich current that flows past the exposed formation supports a productive food web from the coral base to the apex predators. Hin Luk Bath represents the more serious side of Koh Chang diving, providing intermediate divers with genuine open-water reef exploration that goes beyond the standard island-fringing sites. The combination of depth, marine productivity, and the adventure of diving an offshore formation makes it a valuable site in the eastern Gulf's diving portfolio.
