Koh Chuang

Koh Chuang is a beginner-friendly dive site near Samaesan in the eastern Gulf of Thailand, a small island whose surrounding reef provides easy and enjoyable diving in the calm waters of this relatively uncrowded diving area. The reef around Koh Chuang features rocky formations extending from the island's base, with coral growth creating a colorful reef community on the available hard surfaces. The sheltered conditions typical of the Samaesan area mean current is usually minimal, and the gentle depth profile allows extended bottom time for thorough exploration. Sandy patches between reef sections add habitat diversity and provide resting spots for various bottom-dwelling species.
