Shark Point

Shark Point is one of the most famous dive sites in the Phuket area, a series of submerged pinnacles in the Andaman Sea between Phuket and the Phi Phi Islands that has earned its name through regular encounters with leopard sharks resting on the sandy bottom around its base. With a maximum depth of twenty-eight meters and spectacular marine growth, Shark Point delivers advanced diving of genuine world-class quality. The site consists of three main pinnacles that break the surface slightly at low tide, with the underwater structure extending deep into the Andaman Sea. The pinnacles are covered in some of the most vivid and diverse marine growth in the region, with purple and red soft corals creating a color palette of extraordinary intensity. Leopard sharks are the site's signature residents, found resting on the sandy patches between the pinnacles with remarkable reliability.
