SS Satara is a historic advanced wreck dive at Seal Rocks on the NSW mid-north coast. This 5,800-ton steam cargo ship sank in 1910 and now rests at 44 meters depth. The wreck has become a thriving artificial reef, heavily colonized by sponges, soft corals, and marine growth. Large schools of trevally and kingfish circle the wreckage, while grey nurse sharks are frequently spotted nearby. The significant depth and possible currents make this a dive for experienced and technical divers.
