
Paddy's Head on St. Margarets Bay in Nova Scotia is a beginner-friendly shore dive on a rocky headland offering varied underwater terrain. The gently sloping rocky bottom features kelp-covered boulders, gravel patches, and sandy clearings, each supporting different communities of cold-water life. Lobsters inhabit the rocky crevices, while flatfish rest on the sandy areas. Sea stars of multiple species add colour to the rocks, and cunner are ever-present among the kelp. The bay's protected waters ensure calm conditions for comfortable diving. An excellent all-round shore dive combining easy access with reliable marine life encounters.
