Prospect Wharf on the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia offers beginner-friendly shore diving from a community wharf in the village of Prospect. The wharf pilings and surrounding rocky bottom create a productive environment where marine life concentrates around the artificial structure. Cold-water species including lobsters, rock crabs, and cunner are reliably found. The pilings support vertical gardens of mussels, barnacles, and small anemones. Night dives are a highlight, with the wharf's lights attracting baitfish and the predators that hunt them. The sheltered harbour location provides consistent diving conditions close to Halifax.
