Sandy Cove at Terence Bay in Nova Scotia is a beginner-friendly shore dive in a picturesque cove south of Halifax. A sandy beach provides comfortable entry into calm, sheltered waters. The underwater landscape transitions from sandy shallows to a rocky reef system with good kelp coverage. The site supports a healthy community of cold-water species — lobsters are abundant, and multiple species of sea stars add splashes of colour to the rocky habitat. Northern moon snails leave distinctive tracks across the sand. The convenient location and reliable conditions make this one of the go-to shore dives for the Halifax diving community.
