Portia is an advanced wreck dive off Nova Scotia on the remains of a coastal steamer that sank in the early 20th century. The wreck lies at significant depth on a rocky bottom, with boilers, engine components, and hull plates still identifiable among the debris field. The wreck structure has become an important artificial reef, attracting dense concentrations of marine life. Large lobsters, Atlantic cod, and wolffish inhabit the wreck, while plumose anemones and cold-water corals cover every surface. The depth and cold temperatures require advanced skills and proper thermal protection for this historically significant wreck dive.
