Daniel Steinman is an advanced wreck dive off Nova Scotia on the remains of a 19th-century iron steamship that struck rocks and sank. The wreck is scattered across the seabed at significant depth, with large sections of the iron hull, boilers, and machinery still recognizable. The wreck has become an important artificial reef, densely colonized by plumose anemones, cold-water sponges, and kelp. Large lobsters and cod inhabit the wreck structure. The historical interest of this Victorian-era shipwreck combined with rich marine colonization makes this a compelling dive for experienced cold-water wreck diving enthusiasts.
