Sandy Cove in the Sambro Area of Nova Scotia is a beginner-friendly shore dive with a sandy beach entry leading to a mixed bottom of sand, cobble, and rocky outcrops. The site's variety of substrates supports diverse marine life within a small area. Flatfish lie camouflaged on the sandy bottom, while lobsters and rock crabs inhabit the rocky patches. Kelp-covered boulders create mini-ecosystems hosting cunner, sculpin, and sea stars. The cove's sheltered position and gradual depth make it excellent for training dives, while the diverse habitats keep experienced divers engaged during leisurely exploration.
