Chengue is a beginner-friendly dive in one of Tayrona National Park's most pristine bays on Colombia's Caribbean coast. The protected bay features some of the healthiest coral reef systems in the region, with excellent hard coral coverage and crystal-clear waters. Schools of blue chromis, creole wrasse, and yellowtail snappers animate the reef, while hawksbill sea turtles occasionally glide through. The national park protection ensures minimal human impact, making Chengue one of the most ecologically intact Caribbean dive sites accessible from Santa Marta.
