El Cantil

El Cantil near Taganga is an advanced dive featuring a dramatic underwater cliff on Colombia's Caribbean coast. The vertical wall drops steeply from the shallow reef, with the face covered in massive sea fans, black corals, and barrel sponges. The wall's depth attracts larger species including nurse sharks, eagle rays, and schools of horse-eye jacks. Current exposure along the wall face adds challenge but also brings excellent visibility and pelagic encounters. El Cantil is considered one of the premier wall dives in the Santa Marta diving area.
