Playa Brava near Taganga is an advanced dive along the exposed side of the coastline on Colombia's Caribbean. Named after the 'wild beach' above, this site features strong surge and current that create challenging but exciting diving conditions. The rocky reef is covered with large gorgonians, barrel sponges, and diverse hard coral species. The dynamic water movement attracts larger pelagic visitors and schools of predatory fish. Experienced divers appreciate Playa Brava for its raw, powerful Caribbean underwater environment and the chance to see species less common at sheltered sites.
