Octubre Rojo (Red October) is an advanced deep dive to 50 meters near the Rosario Islands off Cartagena, Colombia. Named evocatively, this deep reef site features dramatic wall sections dropping into the Caribbean abyss. The deep walls reveal rare deep-water coral species, massive sponge formations, and pelagic encounters with eagle rays and large barracuda. Technical diving preparation is recommended for the deeper sections, while the upper reef offers vibrant Caribbean reef life. Octubre Rojo is one of the most challenging and rewarding deep dives in the Cartagena diving scene.
