Long Shoal is a dive site on Costa Rica's Caribbean coast near Manzanillo, within the protected waters of the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge. This elongated reef formation runs parallel to the coastline, creating a natural underwater ridge covered with healthy corals, sponges, and sea whips. The reef structure attracts diverse Caribbean fish species including snappers, grunts, and damselfish, while the sandy channels between coral formations often host southern stingrays and spotted eagle rays. The site offers a relaxing drift along the shoal with consistent marine life encounters throughout the dive.
