Canyon Reef

Canyon Reef is a beginner-friendly dive site in the Manuel Antonio area on Costa Rica's central Pacific coast. This site features a series of rocky channels and canyons carved into the volcanic reef, creating natural corridors that guide divers through diverse marine habitats. The canyon walls host sea fans, sponges, and small corals, while the sandy floors shelter garden eels and stingrays. Schools of jacks and snappers patrol the canyon openings, and octopuses are commonly spotted camouflaged against the rocks. The protected canyon structure provides natural shelter from currents, making this an enjoyable dive for less experienced divers.
