El Toro is a beginner-friendly dive site in the Manuel Antonio area on Costa Rica's central Pacific coast. Named after a bull-shaped rock formation, this site features volcanic boulders arranged in channels and swim-throughs that create a natural underwater playground. The rocky reef supports schools of grunts, snappers, and parrotfish, while moray eels and lobsters shelter in the crevices. White-tip reef sharks are regular visitors to the sandy areas surrounding the main formations. The moderate depth, easy navigation, and consistent marine life make El Toro a reliable and enjoyable dive for all experience levels.
