Bajo del Diablo near Manuel Antonio is a beginner-friendly submerged reef on Costa Rica's central Pacific coast. Unlike its more advanced namesake at Caño Island, this accessible seamount rises to shallow depths and features a rocky plateau covered with small corals and marine growth. The reef attracts schools of grunts, snappers, and jacks, while white-tip reef sharks and stingrays rest on the surrounding sandy bottom. The manageable conditions and reliable marine life encounters make this Bajo del Diablo a popular dive for operators based in the Quepos and Manuel Antonio area.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
