Punta Perdiz is a beginner-friendly shore dive in the Bay of Pigs area on Cuba's southern coast. This excellent shore diving site features direct entry from the rocky limestone coastline onto a vibrant coral wall that drops from just below the surface. The wall is covered with pristine hard corals, sea fans, and massive sponges, supporting dense populations of tropical fish including parrotfish, angelfish, and large schools of blue tangs and creole wrasses. Nurse sharks, sea turtles, and eagle rays are regular visitors. Punta Perdiz is widely considered one of the best shore dives in Cuba, with its easy access, excellent reef health, and remarkable marine biodiversity.
