Caracasbaai

Caracasbaai is an advanced shore dive to 37 meters in Curaçao's southeastern coast near the historic Caracas Bay. This site features a steep reef wall with excellent deep diving potential, where the coral-covered slope gives way to dramatic vertical drops. The wall is adorned with barrel sponges, gorgonians, and healthy hard corals, while the deeper blue water attracts pelagic visitors including eagle rays and barracuda. The bay's historical significance as a colonial port adds cultural interest to the dive. Advanced certification is needed for the deeper sections, but the shallow reef terrace also offers enjoyable diving for intermediate divers.
