Lost Anchor is an advanced shore dive in Curaçao near the island's eastern shore. This site features an old anchor of historical significance resting at depth on the reef slope, now encrusted with marine growth and serving as a habitat for large groupers and moray eels. The surrounding reef wall drops steeply with impressive coral coverage, barrel sponges, and sea fans. Strong currents sweep the eastern coast, bringing nutrient-rich water that attracts barracuda, jacks, and occasional eagle rays. The depth of the anchor and exposed conditions require advanced skills, but Lost Anchor rewards with a compelling mix of maritime history and dynamic reef diving.
