Scooter, also known as Dwain's Release, is an advanced shore dive to 30 meters on Curaçao's western coast. This site features a steep reef slope with impressive coral coverage and interesting topography including overhangs and small swim-throughs. Named for the scooters (DPVs) sometimes used to explore the longer reef sections, the site offers extensive reef to cover. Large barrel sponges, gorgonian fans, and healthy hard corals characterize the deeper slope, while the shallower terrace hosts diverse tropical fish. Sea turtles and large groupers are regular inhabitants, making Scooter a rewarding deep dive for experienced divers.
