Artificial Reef is an intermediate dive site off the coast of Paralimni in eastern Cyprus, reaching a maximum depth of 24 meters. This purpose-built reef consists of concrete structures, old vehicles, and other materials deliberately placed on the sandy seabed to encourage marine colonization. Over the years, the structures have been transformed into thriving habitats covered in sponges, hydroids, and encrusting organisms. Resident species include groupers, moray eels, scorpionfish, and dense schools of bream. The flat sandy surroundings make navigation straightforward, and the site serves as both an ecological success story and an engaging dive with plenty to discover at every structure.
