
De Costa Bay is a beginner-friendly dive site near Protaras, Cyprus, with a gentle maximum depth of 12 meters. This sheltered bay features a mix of sandy patches and rocky reef formations that create an engaging underwater landscape for new divers. The calm, crystal-clear waters offer excellent visibility for spotting the abundant marine life — damselfish, wrasses, blennies, and gobies are plentiful among the rocks. Octopus are regularly sighted, and the seagrass beds attract cuttlefish and juvenile fish. The easy shore entry, minimal currents, and warm Mediterranean waters make De Costa Bay a favorite for training dives and relaxed underwater exploration.
