Tunnels & Caves

Tunnels & Caves is an advanced dive site near Protaras on Cyprus's southeastern coast, reaching a maximum depth of 12 meters. This exciting site features an intricate network of swim-throughs, short tunnels, and cavern openings carved into the limestone coastline. Shafts of sunlight penetrate the openings, creating spectacular light effects inside the passages. The tunnel walls are covered with sponges, sea squirts, and small cup corals. Moray eels, shrimp, and cardinal fish inhabit the darker recesses, while outside the tunnels, damselfish, wrasses, and groupers patrol the reef. Though relatively shallow, the overhead environment and navigation complexity make this a site best suited for experienced divers. It's one of the most popular and photogenic dive sites in the Protaras area.
