Zephyros is an advanced dive site in northern Cyprus, plunging to a maximum depth of 30 meters. Named after the Greek god of the west wind, this exposed site features powerful underwater topography with steep walls, pinnacles, and deep channels carved into the rocky seabed. The nutrient-rich currents sweeping through the area support vibrant marine communities including dense sponge gardens, sea fans, and colonies of cup corals. Pelagic species such as amberjack, tuna, and barracuda frequent the deeper waters, while groupers and moray eels inhabit the rocky overhangs. The exposed location and depth demand advanced skills and careful attention to conditions, but reward divers with some of the most dramatic underwater scenery in Cyprus.
