M/F Ærøsund Ferry is an advanced wreck dive site in Danish waters between Funen and Ærø. This decommissioned ferry was deliberately sunk to create an artificial reef and wreck diving attraction. The large vessel sits upright on the seabed, offering extensive penetration opportunities through car decks, passenger areas, and the bridge. The wreck has been progressively colonized by marine growth, attracting cod, wrasses, and crustaceans. The advanced rating reflects the depth, wreck penetration complexity, and current exposure. Visibility varies with conditions. The M/F Ærøsund is one of Denmark's premier intentionally sunk wreck dives, offering a dramatic and well-preserved vessel for experienced wreck diving enthusiasts.
