Flydedok is a dive site in southern Denmark near Sønderborg, located near a former floating dock. This unique site offers an industrial marine archaeology experience with the remains of dock structures providing fascinating underwater exploration. The metal and concrete remnants have been extensively colonized by mussels, anemones, and hydroids, creating a thriving artificial reef ecosystem. Cod, wrasses, scorpionfish, and large crabs shelter among the structures. The site offers interesting swim-throughs and varied terrain. Visibility depends on conditions and tidal influence. Flydedok appeals to divers who enjoy combining industrial heritage with marine life observation in the sheltered waters of the Alssund strait.
