Ras Banas is an advanced dive site at the prominent Ras Banas headland in Egypt's deep south. The exposed point creates strong currents that attract large pelagic species. The underwater landscape features dramatic walls and a reef system extending from the peninsula. Sharks, mantas, and large schools of tuna and barracuda are possible encounters. The reef walls display beautiful gorgonian fans and soft corals. The remote, military-restricted area limits access but ensures some of the most pristine diving in the Red Sea.
