Um Hal Hal is an advanced offshore reef near Safaga known for its deep walls and exceptional pelagic encounters. The reef structure rises sharply from depths beyond 50 meters, with walls covered in pristine soft corals and massive gorgonian fans. Grey reef sharks, silvertip sharks, and large schools of jacks are regularly seen patrolling the deep blue. The exposed location creates strong currents that bring nutrient-rich upwellings, supporting an extraordinary concentration of marine life. Reserved for experienced divers with good buoyancy control.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
