Gubal Barge is an intermediate wreck dive near Gubal Island in the Strait of Gubal, Egypt's Red Sea. This cargo barge rests on a sandy bottom at moderate depth, its flat structure providing an unusual diving experience. The deck is covered in hard and soft corals, creating a living garden on a man-made platform. Stonefish and scorpionfish camouflage themselves on the encrusted surfaces, while large moray eels inhabit the interior spaces. The unique flat profile offers an interesting contrast to the region's conventional ship wrecks.
